Delaney McGrath

Artistic Director - Delaney McGrath, Delaney is the drama and theater director at Hawai'i Preparatory Academy..  She studied classical voice at the Manhattan School of Music, earned a B.A. in ethnomusicology (study of music through an anthropological or cultural lens) from Barnard College at Columbia University, and an M.S. in education from the University of Edinburgh. She was on her way toward a doctorate in ethnomusicology from UCLA when the opportunity arose to join HPA’s faculty.   Formally the choir director for the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, we are excited to welcome her to the Kona Aloha Singers family where she joins her parents Dale and Ken Ross.

Assistant Artistic Director - Erin Deskin is an educator and musician with over 25 years of experience performing in choirs! A former musical director of Chordially Yours A Cappella group in Boston, she has been a member in choirs from Denver, CO to Seoul, South Korea. When she isn’t feeding her love of music, Erin is a high school science and math teacher in Kona and has lived on the Big Island for 10 years.

Music Director & Accompanist - Dale Ross has played piano as long as she can remember.  She is active in the Aloha Theater's musical productions and is the piano accompanist for the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity Church choir.  As lifelong residents of the Big Island, both Dale and her husband Ken are retired Kona attorneys and they have three adult children who are pursuing their dreams,
